The Musical “REBELLIA [1991]” in Düsseldorf!

Discover MUR’s new artistic production in Düsseldorf! On March 14, 2027, at the Capitol Theater, you’ll experience a portrayal of Ukraine’s struggle for independence titled “REBELLIA [1991].” This musical is not merely a chronicle of dates and a list of facts, but a powerful artistic reminder that independence was won at the cost of human lives and hopes, and thanks to an unshakable faith that freedom would become a reality.

MUR is bringing “REBELLIA [1991]” to Europe and will present the musical in several German cities as part of the tour. The musical recreates a crucial period in Ukrainian history: from the birth of the Sixtiers movement to the visit of the U.S. president, the August coup, and the ceremonial raising of the Ukrainian flag in the Verkhovna Rada. The stage brings to life Ivan Svitlychnyi, Vasyl Stus, Alla Horska, Viacheslav Chornovil, Les Tanyuk, Ivan Dziuba, Ivan Drach, Leonid Kravchuk, and other Ukrainian figures who became the voice of freedom.
